Flower/Plant Shows 2009

Barrie’s Garden Club will have three mini-shows, May 5th,  June 2nd  and  September 1st , 2009.  All shows will be held on meeting nights at Southshore Community Centre.
Entries will be received for any show between 6:45pm and 7:30pm on the evening of the show.  Judging will take place during scheduled presentation and the results of the flower show will be announced afterward.

Show Points
Every show you enter will win you showing points.  In November, Barrie’s Garden Club awards prizes to the top three point earners.

Points for all classes except Floral Design:
Best In Show                                  10 points
First Place                                         7 points
Second Place                                    5 points
Third Place                                         4 points
Honourable Mention                           2 points
Participant                                           1 point

Points for Floral Design:
Best Floral Design                        25 points
First Place                                     20 points
Second   Place                              15 points
Third Place                                     10 points
HM                                                   5 [points

All entries earn at least one point, so the more you enter, the better chance you have of winning a prize at the end of the year.
