Mission Statement
The Barrie's Garden Club (BGC) is a community based group of volunteer gardeners devoted to sharing their love of gardening. Through a variety of activities and projects, including the Arboretum, the BGC:
The BGC strives to provide a welcoming environment for all who enjoy gardening and recognizes that an interest in gardening may grow into a passion if nurtured!

Open Meetings
Open to the Public
BCG hosts a monthly horticultural meeting at the Southshore Community Centre. Meetings are held at 7:30pm on the first Tuesday of each month and all visitors are welcome.
Garden Tour
The Barrie Garden Club's 2008 Garden Tour was a great success.

Open to All
Anyone with an interest in gardening and helping to beautify Barrie can become a member
Sale/Swap Table
A Sale/Swap table is available at all open meetings.
Plant Sale
Local Plants
Each year the BGC holds a plant sale, open to the public, of plants & flowers from members gardens
Garden Tour
Local Gardens
Each summer, the BGC conducts a tour of selected local gardens in Barrie and surrounding areas

Each month, a free informative newsletter is distributed at the open meeting

The BGC maintains the Barrie Arboretum located at the north-west corner of Sunnidale Park (Cundles & Sunnidale)
