The Barrie Garden Club will be hiring a bus to take us to the 14th Annual Peony Festival. The bus will leave from the parking lot behind the Canadian Tire on Coulter Street at 9:30 a.m. (returning approximately 5:30 the same evening). PACK YOUR OWN LUNCH or buy food at the festival. Bottled water fwill be provided on the bus. Cost is $30 per person. Limited seating on a first come, first serve basis. Contact Joan Nieman-Agapus to reserve your seat: firstname.lastname@example.org Here are the details of this event: The City of Oshawa is proud to present the 14th annual Peony Festival June 9 and 10, 2018, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This free event displays 300 types of peonies in the gardens and 100’s more inside Children’s Arena. Artisans, live music, food, gardening seminars, community displays and more are all part of this festival. Also this year we will be proudly hosting the Canadian Peony Society’s Annual General Meeting. Come out and join in a festive potluck dinner. Show-off your culinary skills by bringing your favourite dish! To be eco-minded, please bring your own plate, cup and cutlery.
Gabrielle Polman of Bradford Garden Gallery will demonstrate her skills by making a seasonal arrangement.
